Since 2021 when Joe Biden took over the presidency and opened the borders of America. An estimated 18 million illegal entry immigrants entered America. Every single person received some type or multiple types of US federal aid. From housing, food stamps, to even the simple interaction with an ICE agent and a free bus ride. It is all paid for by the US taxpayer. Meaning it comes from the wallets of every American. Every American at every age pays or will pay taxes at some time in life. From shopping for a car, to getting an education and when buying a house. We will all pay taxes, those tax dollars fund America. It funds the roads, the schools and all the subsidies and aid that go to illegal entry immigrants.
Every tax dollar the government collects gets spent on US government programs. The US government is very friendly and accommodating with my tax dollars. The uncovered USAID money going overseas was your money going overseas. The billions every year in foreign military aid are our tax dollars. A great politician can negotiate a ceasefire without spending billions. A horrible politician throws the kitchen sink at every issue.
The United States is spending billions of dollars each year on illegal entry immigrants. This aid goes to foreign individuals because their own governments are failing their people. So American taxpayers are now responsible to make every life that enters America, accommodating and free. Catholic Online.org estimates Sanctuary Cities alone cost taxpayers $27 billion each year. There are 106 self-identified sanctuary cities in the U.S., and they receive billions in federal funds each year.
Sanctuary cities are safe spaces for illegal immigrants to avoid US Federal immigration laws. As a matter of deliberate policy, officials in these cities do not cooperate with federal immigration authorities. The level of resistance varies from no cooperation whatsoever to restricting the use of municipal funds for immigration enforcement. Federal authorities often require the cooperation of municipal officials, such as police, to do their jobs safely. No cooperation between law enforcement and ICE only creates more chaos and danger.
Illegal immigration is a topic of concern because the nation has a right to secure and control its borders. While it has been portrayed as a national security issue, that case is not difficult to make. America is facing a challenging period, 18 million new unvetted immigrants are now living among us. That does not include all the got away’s at the southern border as well. Some billion-dollar US government funded universities in these areas cannot ensure the safety of Jewish college students. But the same cities that house those universities allow sanctuary for illegals from US immigration laws. The irony is that a sanctuary city is safe to protest the war in Gaza at a university. But it is not safe for a foreign Jewish student to live in an American sanctuary city university. What are the true costs to having a sanctuary city? How much do these cities cost the taxpayers of those cities? It can’t be free. Living in America is expensive, so how do illegal entry immigrants survive the bills of living in America? Or are the taxpayers the real Sugar Daddy’s of the equation. How much does a US taxpayer fork out for foreign people to live comfortably in America?
The number of sanctuary cities in America is overwhelming. The fact that so many jurisdictions in America choose not to work with federal ICE agents is staggering. That is the overwhelming part, the lack of respect for the law-by-law enforcement and elected officials. No one is above the law was the phrase Democrats used to describe Donald Trump. But a sanctuary city is literally trying to live above the law. By not obeying federal immigration laws on the books, they are breaking the law. Do you live in a sanctuary city, you might want to leave!
Sanctuary policies are also in towns, cities, counties, states, and other jurisdictions. These policies restrict most forms of cooperation with federal immigration authorities. They are explicitly forbidden under federal law (8 USC § 1373). They violate the supremacy clause of the United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2) and the 10th Amendment. They also undermine the rule of law by violating federal immigration policies. Noncompliant jurisdictions refuse to hand over criminal aliens to federal authorities. They release these individuals instead. These actions irresponsibly expose their residents to potential harm.
American citizens have been killed and victimized by criminal illegal aliens. Sometimes illegal aliens themselves are also victims. These criminal illegal aliens benefit from sanctuary policies. Sanctuary jurisdictions serve as an attractive magnet for illegal alien criminals in particular. NGO’s and other Democrat funded organizations advertise these sanctuary cities in foreign countries.
California became a sanctuary state after Gov. Jerry Brown (D) signed Senate Bill 54, the California Values Act, in October 2017. In those few years the state of California has the most populous sanctuary state. San Francisco is a sanctuary city, meaning it does not cooperate with federal immigration authorities. In San Francisco Senator Nancy Pelosi (D) has pushed for more Federal funding for sanctuary cities. San Francisco is in Pelosi’s district and those US tax dollars benefit her illegal entry population.
These policies change the landscape of America. The recent anti-ICE riots and protest are pure examples of a sanctuary state breaking the laws of America. The politicians who get elected are running on sanctuary policies and benefits as well. These politicians are going to extremes and even encouraging LA gangs to fight back against ICE agents. The same politicians who said defund the police, are now fighting back against a federal agency. This is only throwing more fuel on the fire.
Cynthia Gonzalez is the vice mayor of Cudahy. It is a suburb of southeast Los Angeles County. She expressed frustration with gang members in her district and called them out. They are not claiming their “territory” against ICE agents. She even called upon gang leadership to be more organized when using their members to resist immigration enforcement.
The Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) represents nearly 9,000 members of the LAPD. They are calling for the resignation and possible prosecution of Cudahy Vice-Mayor Cynthia Gonzalez. This is following what they described as a “shameful social media video post.” “Ms. Gonzalez urged specific gangs to act in her social media post. This puts police officers and other law enforcement professionals at greater risk,” the LAPPL said. “Her actions are deplorable and potentially illegal. She should resign and she should be prosecuted if what she called for broke the law.”
The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has not commented on the vice mayor’s remarks. Similarly, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, has not made a comment. It is almost the same response they gave when the wildfires of 2025 burned through LA. Newsom and Bass are dumb founded and silent. Either they say something negative and lose voters. Or they defend law enforcement and the rule of law and lose voters.
If you needed any further proof, look no further than Gonzalez. The Democrats only had open borders to win elections with illegals voting. Gonzalez is begging illegal gangs like the ones she cited, to fight for her to stay in power. Gangs that are caught up in drug smuggling, human trafficking, murder, violence, illegal firearms, to fight back against law enforcement. A seated politician in America is asking for violence and an uprising against our government.
So, when the liberal fake media was crying and complaining about the National Guard being called up to protect LA. The reason was simple and necessary because the vice mayor of LA is calling up the gangs! The Justice Department should revoke her visa and send her home after she is fired. An American politician takes an oath when sworn into office. To defend America against all terrorists. Our own politicians are destroying the country we love.
Los Angeles politicians are choosing foreigners over American citizens and law enforcement. Their oaths have been broken, and the Democrat party has shown their true colors. The burden that sanctuary cities put on America is from the leaders running the cities. These politicians have to do everything un-American and illegally or they cannot win an election. The politicians allowing criminals to run free in theses sanctuary cities are running with the criminal’s stride by stride.
The Sanctuary City project has failed America and is only dividing the country one city at a time. The politicians who call for violence and riots are giving criminals the ability to destroy and dismantle America. The next major overhaul will be the calculated destruction of sanctuary cities in America. They have already been defunded by the cuts to USAID. The cities are losing voting power as people leave these areas lowering the delegate count. And now as a last resort, the politicians call for violence, because everything else has failed. The sanctuary concept is a failure. The “give me everything for free” concept has drained the cities dry and broke. The “let everyone go with slap on the wrist” experiment, has only doubled the crime rates. A sanctuary city is turning beautiful areas into undesirable markets where no one wants to invest or live. Except for the criminals and the politicians, to them it is home sweet sanctuary home.
